Unfortunately, dominated by the strong Barbadian team, our selection was unable to express his game despite his technical abilities, the Barbados easily won in 3 sets [3-0] [0-25; 17-25; 15-25] winning the title of Champion of the Caribbean Regional Tournament.

A humiliating defeat for our players that had already been crushed by powerful Barbados in the first match of the tournament, March 31 last [3-0] [28-26; 25-19; 25.21], should be notes that Barbados has not suffered any defeats in this Tournament.

However, despite this failure, Haiti did not deserve and finished Vice Tournament Champion with 3 wins out of 5. Two players of the Haitian team received trophies for their brilliant performances: Bayol Jean-Phillipe player of the Apex, Best Scorer and Best Striker Award and Dimitri Dumay playing in Ouanaminthe, Team Captain, Best Server Award.

Consul Alex Jospitre of the Consulate General of the Republic of Haiti in Suriname, in a letter to the Haitian Volleyball Federation wrote "[...] even when the ultimate goal of an athlete is to win, for me the main goal is to participate and make the pride of his country especially in an international tournament [...] Our young people participated brilliantly leaving Vice-Champion of this tournament and winning two trophies as best server and best marker / striker, you have contributed a lot to our efforts in this direction and it is up to us also to present our sincere thanks for a spectacular performance."
